Project Breaking Down Barriers: A Rocky Beach in Marabut, Samar

We woke up very early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise in Marabut. It’s been a while since I’ve last visited a beach and this experience made it all the more awesome for me.

Morning in Samar

I was super un-prepared that I wore my black shirt and leggings.  Yes, lola mode.

We wore our flipflops almost the entire time we were in the water because this particular beach in Marabut was super rocky that it ached my soles.  Notwithstanding, it was really very beautiful.

Tara and Fernz jumped off a cliff, several times.  They were inviting me to do it as well but I did not prepare my mind for this so I gave a powerful “no”.  I would sure do it next time, though, because they seemed like they were having so much fun!

After a good swim, we had buko for breakfast.  Borrowing Tara’s term, Fernz machete-ed the buko for us!

We then prepared to leave for Basey.  We waited quite a while by the highway for the bus.  But, because I was with really wonderful people, it seemed like it was only a couple of minutes after we went out when the bus arrived.

    1. Hello Jo!

Thanks, too! Yes, it’s a very beautiful place. And, easy to go there, too, if ever you get to visit Leyte or Samar. :-)

Looking forward to reading more of your posts!

    1. That’s really great! I’m sure you’ll have a blast. This is only one of the nice beaches around the area, ad I’ve heard from a friend. :)
