Backpacking Cambodia and Vietnam: Capping our day with wine and steak

We got to Phnom Penh in the evening.  We left our bags at a backpacker’s hostel, where we would spend the night.  Then, went ahead to have dinner.

There were a lot of restaurants and, ideally, we would’ve wanted to enjoy the Khmer food.  But, because we weren’t ready for the city crowd that evening, given that we just came from Siem Reap that provided a more laid back vibe, we chose to eat at Camory Cafe Restaurant & Bar, a French restaurant that had steak and wine instead.

We enjoyed the night recapping what had transpired, so far.  It was my first time to travel out of the country with this group and it was awesome.  To be honest, I’m not used to travelling like a tourist.  It’s true that, in the Philippines, I go to tourist spots but I also spend most of my time in coffee shops, restaurants, and homes, where I could enjoy the ambiance and the conversations with the people I’m with.  So, this trip was quite new for me.  But, because of who I was travelling with, I was having a superb time.
