Life’s a beach! – Capones and Anawangin Islands

It was almost not going to happen. Backing out and deciding to be on board again, didn’t transpire only once. And, up to the last minute, too. But, miracle of miracles, we all chose to be in the space of adventure. It was everyone’s first time to camp. It was everyone’s first time to visit the islands. It was our first time to travel with this group. And, it was amazing.

We left Manila at 3:00 AM and drove to Zambales.  We had Ros’ GPS friend that guided us through the trip.  Truth be told, this trip wouldn’t have pushed through if Ros didn’t take the lead on making this happen. So, thank you so much, Ros!

Capones

We got to San Antonio in the morning, excited for what’s going to happen for the next hours.  We would have to immerse ourselves into an adventure of living the ultimate boho lifestyle, bereft of technology, comfortable bathrooms, flowing water, beds, stoves, and cold drinks.

Our first stop was Capones Island.  We were mesmerized by the bright blues and greens that contrasted beautifully with each other.

Our next stop was Anawangin, another beautiful island in San Antonio, Zambales.  It was where campers would usually choose to pitch their tent as this is the nearest site from the shores of San Antonio.

We enjoyed our lunch in one of the benches and had our surprisingly good warm beers while at it.

We spent a few hours there and enjoyed the beautiful water, the sand, and the sun.

    1. Haha! I tried it when we went to see Fang-od in Kalinga. Medyo loser ako. Pero I’m determined to be better at it next time. ;)
